JiJieHao send FaZe to lower bracket at DraculaN

FaZe, who are currently engaged in the fight to qualify for the PGL Major in Singapore, were just knocked down to the Digital Crusade DraculaN Season 7 lower bracket by JiJieHao in a dramatic fashion.

The series went to the Anubis decider after FaZe stole Mirage 13-6, but then failed to win their Dust2 pick as JiJieHao secured it 13-9. It all came down to the last round, a 2v2 situation with the Asian-European combine up 12-11, and although Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski got the two kills in the clutch, he didn't do it in time to defuse the bomb.

FaZe are looking for a good finish in Bucharest, as a top six would help solidify their odds at the bottom of the pack in the European VRS invite range — the difference between an 87% and 55% projection, according to our invite predictor.

Currently in 14th place in the European ranking, they are still in position to make it over the line before the November 2 cut-off, but an early exit at DraculaN could drastically swing their standing in an open race for the last invites to the Major, making their next match a crucial one.

Up next for Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken and his teammates are Envy, whose chances of qualification for the Major are slim but not none, with just a 7.9% chance in our invite predictor. The French team could also get a large boost with a top-six finish in Romania, all the way up to 25% according to our predictor.

The road to a top-six finish at DraculaN doesn't stop there, however, as the winner of this lower bracket match could go on to face HEROIC if they beat BBL in their lower-bracket series.

JiJieHao, on the other hand, have hit their highest rank in the VRS after this victory, slotting into 18th place in Europe and momentarily occupying the last invite slot, although their chances to stay there until November 2 to earn an invite are still slim to none according to our projections. Up next for them as they make their way through the upper bracket will be SINNERS, who just handed HEROIC their first loss at the event.
