Valve released a belated monthly Valve Regional Standings for September on Tuesday evening.
The update came a day later than usual after Valve had consistently released monthly rankings on the first Monday of the month, which this time around happened to be Labor Day, a federal holiday in the USA.
The delay had caused some chaos among tournament organizers who had set up their tournament invite dates and seeding dates for September 7, anticipating the usual release.
The missed release meant the TOs affected would have technically been required to use a month-old ranking from the beginning of August for those purposes, if they were to follow the Tournament Operation Requirements to the letter.

3.2.3 Tournament Operator must use the most recent version of the VRS, as of the Invite Date.

Valve ultimately backdated the release to September 7 to resolve the issue, but has instead created another, as it has apparently used data from September 8.
There is a crucial difference, as the September 8 data set includes ESL Challenger S52 Europe Cup 6 while the September 7 would have not, as the tournament had not yet finished by that point.
That has caused several differences between the rankings, as projected by Jesper Larsen on X.
HLTV has reached out to Valve to ask whether this will be rectified.
