The MongolZ have sent Legacy home from PGL Masters Bucharest with a 2-0 victory (Mirage 13-8, Inferno 13-8).
Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren was the star of the show for his team, topping the board on Mirage (1.74 map rating) and finishing second-highest on Inferno (1.47) to help the Mongolians stay alive in Bucharest.
The MongolZ are now set for a playoff-qualifying clash in the 2-2 pool, where Liquid and Nemiga are already present, while Legacy suffer another early elimination after placing 5th-6th at Thunderpick World Championship.
The match itself was fairly comfortable for The MongolZ, who began Mirage with a 7-5 CT half before dominating proceedings on their offense despite losing a second-round forcebuy to secure a 13-8 win.
Inferno finished with the same scoreline, with bLitz's men taking over in the final few rounds to turn a 7-8 deficit into a 13-8 win and keep themselves alive in the tournament.
