The second day of FISSURE Playground 3 came to an end with FURIA beating PARIVISION to secure a spot in the playoffs.
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's troops demolished PARIVISION on Ancient before struggling to close out Inferno from a 9-4 lead, but eventually got the job done thanks to Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato (1.60 series rating) and Danil "molodoy" Golubenko (1.51) lighting up the server.
In the Group A qualification match, BETBOOM defeated Astralis to send Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and company to the lower bracket despite Love "phzy" Smidebrant's best effort across the series.
The Swedish AWPer finished the match 0.44 ahead of his next highest-rated teammate, but was unable to stop a red-hot Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov and his BETBOOM squad.
Earlier in the day, BIG and GamerLegion exited the tournament without a victory.
Benjamin "blameF" Bremer and company will feel unlucky after meeting G2 in the lower bracket following the European squad's opening loss to Astralis, but will lament their costly lacklustre CT sides on Mirage and Ancient.
In Group B, Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski-less GamerLegion was eliminated by TYLOO in a two-map series after the European squad took FURIA to the brink on Tuesday.
The results mean we are set for an exciting final day of the group stage. Thursday's action will begin with 9z taking on G2 in an elimination game, while Alliance take on home-crowd favorites TYLOO.
