TYLOO AWPer Dongkai "Jee" Ji has been ruled out for the remainder of PGL Masters Bucharest with a bout of chickenpox, the Chinese organization has announced.
The 21-year-old is currently undergoing treatment and resting in isolation. Head coach WeiJie "zhokiNg" Zhong will step in for the rest of the tournament, starting with Monday's elimination series against 9z.
The 32-year-old coach last played for the team at FISSURE Playground 1, where he replaced Jee for three matches due to visa issues. The AWPer linked up with the rest of the squad ahead of the semi-finals and helped the team win the $1 million tournament.
The news comes as a heavy blow for TYLOO, who find themselves in the 0-2 pool after defeats to FUT and Spirit. They are currently ranked fifth in the Asia VRS with a 59 percent chance of reaching the Singapore Major.
It remains unclear if Jee will be available for HyperX Retake Season 13, a tier-2 LAN that will kick off Thursday in Portugal.
"We will continue to monitor Jee's condition and make further arrangements based on his recovery and tournament regulations," TYLOO wrote.
TYLOO will take on 9z with the following lineup:
