PGL Masters Bucharest is headed into the penultimate day of its group stage, which will see three teams join FUT and BETBOOM in the playoffs and three others sent packing from Romania.
Aurora and Liquid will be the first teams to fight for a playoff berth, followed by the day's headline match between Spirit and MOUZ. It will be the eighth meeting between the teams this year after recent clashes at ESL Pro League and the finals of BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals and BLAST Open Porto, with MOUZ holding a 3-1 record over Spirit since the summer break.
Justinas "jL" Lekavicius will face off against Natus Vincere for the first time in his career and since departing the organization in July in the final 2-1 match of the day. Regardless of the result, the Lithuanian rifler will play five matches as a stand-in for Vitality before the November 2 VRS update, making it likely he will receive stickers at the Singapore Major instead of Dan "apEX" Madesclaire.
The elimination pool will see three Brazilian teams fighting for their lives, starting with DENDELE looking to carry forward their momentum from their victory over G2 against Nemiga. 1win Private Club Season 2 champions The MongolZ will then hope to avoid an early elimination in Bucharest against Legacy, while FURIA look to rebound from a loss to Spirit against a hampered TYLOO.
