Imperial have announced that they have named Marcos "tacitus" Castilho the new head coach of their CS team, filling the slot left vacant by Rafael "zakk" Fernandes's departure in mid-June.
tacitus had been without a job since February, when he was dismissed by Fluxo after almost two years in charge. He was later replaced by Gustavo "Juve" Alexandre, who is mostly known for his time coaching Into the Breach.
Imperial had a positive start to the new season, winning their first two tournaments with Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco, CCT 2026 South America Series 3 and the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 South America Series 2.
However, results have since tailed off, with the team finishing second to Fluxo in BetBoom RUSH B Summit Season 4, losing to BESTIA Academy in the Round of 16 of CCT 2026 South America Series 4, and finishing 5th-6th in the South American closed qualifier for StarLadder StarSeries Fall.
