BC.Game have announced the signing of Tyson "asap" Paterson from THUNDER dOWNUNDER to replace the recently benched Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, confirming an earlier HLTV report.
The most significant aspect of the move is that it will change BC.Game's regional affiliation in the VRS from Europe to Asia, with asap joining Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold and Ayush "mzinho" Batbold to form a majority-Asian core.
Prior to this transfer BC.Game's chances of making PGL Major Singapore were low as they currently sit in 36th place on the Europe VRS, with spots on offer to the top 18. Their 1,191 points would, however, currently put them in fourth place on the Asian VRS, from which five teams will receive invites to Singapore.
asap arrives in BC.Game with a long history in his home region, having recorded his first HLTV officials back in 2019.
More recently asap earned his first interntional experience playing with Rooster in 2023, turning out at several iterations of ESL Pro League and ESL Challenger events, whilst also playing in the play-in of IEM Katowice 2024, albeit without achieving much success.
In his latest team, THUNDER dOWNUNDER, asap qualified for his first-ever Major, IEM Cologne Major. There he posted an impressive 1.24 rating across Stage 1 and produced a stellar 2.04-rated performance to grab a BO1 victory over MIBR, although his team could not progress to the next stage.
