Thunderpick has unveiled the full team list for its upcoming World Championship tournament in Malta, featuring eight teams and a $1 million prize pool. Scheduled for October 14-18 at the BLAST Arena studio, the event will be one of the last chances for teams to rack up Valve points before November 2's Singapore Major invite cutoff.
Falcons and FURIA headline the team list as the only top-five sides in attendance, while FISSURE Playground 3 champions Legacy, and Aurora round out the top-10 representation.
South American outfit 9z and Russian pair BETBOOM and PARIVISION complete the invite list.
The invited teams will be joined by Virtus.pro, who booked a spot at the event through the closed qualifier — a run that saw them break into the top 30 in the global VRS. It will be the team's first big international LAN since IEM Chengdu 2025, with only Vladimir "b1st" Krasikov and Vadim "tO0RO" Arkov remaining on the roster.
The Thunderpick World Championship will open with two double-elimination groups, determining the four teams that advance to the single-elimination playoffs. Every match will be played in a best-of-three format except the final, which will be a best-of-five clash.
