Ninjas in Pyjamas can virtually guarantee their spot at the Major with a win in this event, and they are on track after a stronmg Martin "stavn" Lund performance guided them to an opening win over Betclic.
A loss would have dropped Ninjas in Pyjamas's odds to 57%, but instead they enjoy a 73% chance of qualification as things stand.
The first tier two event of the Major run-in is Stake Pulse Beat III, which features a hefty $80,000 prizepool and a raft of Major-chasing squads in attendance.
Envy, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Inner Circle, HEROIC, JiJieHao, 100 Thieves, fnatic, BIG, and HOTU are the teams in attendance who could see their Major hopes significantly bolstered by deep runs and important victories.
Astralis, MIBR, Liquid and BC.Game are also in attendance, but all have their Major spots either clinched or virtually certain. Rather than fighting for qualification themselves, they could offer a boost to any team that managed to beat them.
Some of the scenarios facing teams are:
Ninjas in Pyjamas - First place takes their qualification chances up to 97%, while last place leaves them at 48%.
Inner Circle - First place takes their qualification chances up to 99%, while last place leaves them at 26%.
HEROIC - First place would virtually guarantee their qualification, while last place leaves them at 71%.
Envy - First place takes their qualification chances up to 77%, while last place leaves them at 16%.
