ESL has announced more details about the 2027 edition of IEM Cologne, which will take place between August 4-15.
The German tournament will culminate in an eight-team playoff bracket over four days at LANXESS, which will feature a 360° stage setup for the first time in the event's history.
Stage 1 of IEM Cologne will see 16 teams compete in a double-elimination bracket for eight spots in Stage 2. The eight qualified teams will then join the eight highest-ranked sides in two double-elimination groups, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the playoffs.
All matches will be played in a best-of-three format except the final, which will be a best-of-five clash. The title decider will be preceded by a third-place decider.
The first wave of tickets will go on sale on October 15.
