"Knowing this was the last time I come here as a player and being able to end it this way... with a title... is something I'll carry forever," Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo posted on X in a retrosepctive letter full of thanks to teammates, family, and people who have been by his side during his career — particularly wife Leticia. "There are 50 days left until the end of this journey as a professional player, and the closer it gets, the more I realize the magnitude of everything I've lived."
As pundits note how FalleN is not just fading out but still playing well ahead of retirement, the Brazilian veteran looks back. "Today was one of those days when I had to look back for a few seconds and realize how far this story has already come—and what a privilege it is to keep writing the final chapters like this.
"Thank you, Counter-Strike, for changing my life and helping me change the lives of so many others!"
Jacob "Pimp" Winneche took a moment after the grand final to post several tweets about FURIA and Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo winning the title, such as this one, but he didn't forget the other finalists with a post on X saying:
"Qualified to PGL Masters from the open qualifiers.
Made it to the play-off from a stacked group stage.
Took down FUT, Vitality and pushed FURIA to a 5th map.
A team for the future, a team to look out for in Singapore come major time!"
"You know the term, life tournament? Don't expect this every tournament," Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis told James "BanKs" Banks about his fantastic grand final performance.
