Eight teams have accepted invites to FISSURE Playground 3, the TO announced on Chinese social media site Bilibili, with The MongolZ and FaZe among the teams to accept.
The September event was originally slated as FPG 5, but was renamed after the third and fourth editions of Playground were cancelled due to "logistical conflicts".
It will be held in Suzhou instead of Shenzhen as planned, in partnership with Chinese operator GGMEDIA.
Five invitees are from the top 15 of HLTV's latest ranking, a good result for the tournament organizer after three event cancellations and reports of the company's financial issues.
The tournament kicks off just two days after the end of BLAST Open Porto, where FPG 3 invitees Legacy and BetBoom are in action. If either side makes the final of the stacked Porto event, they will only have one day to fly from Portugal to China in time for the September 8 start date.
The other top 15 teams heading to Suzhou are PARIVISION, FaZe, and The MongolZ, who did not receive invites to Porto. Alliance and TYLOO then complete the intitial octet.
That leaves eight more spots to be filled by FISSURE, one via the Asia Closed Qualifier and seven by more VRS invitations.
