The EVPs and All-Stars of Esports World Cup 2026

The EVP and All-Stars of Esports World Cup 2026

Danil "donk" Kryshkovets fans who were dismayed at the BLAST Bounty final didn't have to wait long for their star's redemption.

The Esports World Cup was donk's ninth MVP event at or above a 1.50 rating, a dominant display matched by figures like 1.32 KPRW and a 27.4% multi-kill rate.

Take it from Shahar "flameZ" Shushan: "Sometimes you have to respect individual brilliance, and today donk on Mirage was just… He took the show, and when some player at this level with a rifle takes it to his own hands and makes sure, like, everywhere we go, he gets two, three entries, it's going to be tough to get the game."

For a charge at the top spot by the end of the year, donk will need more events like this, but we have learned by now not to predict the heights this young man can reach.

Santino "try" Rigal

try's career has been one of several false dawns since he exploded onto the scene with 9z. International moves to 00NATION and Passion UA didn't work out, despite a great stint with Imperial in the middle.

But at Legacy, the successor to 00NATION, try has settled into a level where he can take his local form against the big dogs.

He had great maps against Natus Vincere, Falcons, and FURIA en route to a 1.26 event rating and his first-ever EVP award.

Indeed, it was such a strong performance against tough opposition that he ended up as the top EVP — the star player of the bronze medallists.

Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov

m0NESY only played seven maps in Paris, but he left his mark with an event-high 1.56 rating and no maps below a 1.24 rating.

Falcons stomped their way past K27, Astralis, and The MongolZ and m0NESY was in brilliant form throughout.

Against tougher opposition, Legacy in the quarter-final, his team floundered, but m0NESY stood tall with a 1.35 rating, a full 0.51 above Nikola "NiKo" Kovač in second place within Falcons.

Danil "molodoy" Golubenko

molodoy has been under the microscope after being the Rookie of the Year, but this is now his fourth EVP of 2026, a stat line that underlines just how elite he can be when he is on song.

FURIA's AWPer finished EWC with 0.82 KPR, 1.03 KPRW, and five player of the map performances that propelled his side to a top-four finish.

He was particularly strong on deciders, with 25 frags against Aurora and 24 against G2, which was part of why he ended the event with a team-high 1.37 rating in map wins.

Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato

KSCERATO had fewer peaks than molodoy, but his consistency meant there was barely a gap between the two when it comes to credit from this event.

They were the true fangs of FURIA here, both of them posting seven standout maps and KPRW above 1.00.

Without the third-place decider, a low-intensity affair, KSCERATO posted a 1.26 rating. And even though FURIA lost both, he deserves credit for performances in two overtime maps, 1.53 against 9z and 1.37 against Aurora.

Dmytro "dem0n" Myroshnychenko

Finally, we get to FUT's top EVP after they made the final with a true team effort.

dem0n's mechanical gifts are well documented, but he is beginning to turn that into impact regardless of stage and opposition.

He was brilliant in the victorious semi-final but also in the grand final, with a 1.15 rating across seven of the toughest maps his team had in the whole event.

Split credit around the team meant he couldn't go too high up the list — four players had above 0.90 KPRW, and all five had standout maps — but dem0n was the one who fought hardest under the lights, and that is reflected in his placing.

Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç

If anyone from FUT could have somehow snatched the MVP from donk, it was probably xfl0ud, who led them in KPRW (0.97) and peaks with five POTM performances.

He collapsed in the final three maps of the final, but there was no taking away his EVP given the body of work beforehand.

The new signing has been excellent as the tip of their spear, injecting some extra aggression into a team already happy to duel and go toe to toe with any opponent.

He was great in close playoff games, too, like the 13-11 and 16-13 wins over FURIA and MOUZ that helped FUT reach the final and the Turk claim his first-ever EVP.

Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov

sh1ro began the event terribly, with an uncharacteristic 0.52 rating against JiJieHao.

But that proved to just be an off-day, as the reliable sniper got back to his best in time for strong showings in every series en route to the trophy.

With donk in such good form, there's no doubt it was a backseat role, and sh1ro only posted 0.82 KPRW. But you cannot deny him an EVP after such a host of consistent showings, including a 1.73 rating against Legacy on Ancient and 24 frags in the overtime on Anubis against FUT.

It's his fourth EVP of the year, and a timely one at that.

Bruno "latto" Rebelatto

latto earns his third award of the year after excelling in Legacy's difficult run to third place.

In a 32-team event, most teams had mixed opposition, but 11 of latto's maps were against top ten teams, and seven against top five. A tough run like that helps his case in what would usually be right on the borderline of what constitutes an EVP.

He had good maps in all three playoff series wins: A 1.62 rating in the first half of Inferno against Natus Vincere, a 1.87 rating against Falcons on Mirage, and a 1.30 against Spirit.

Added to his group-stage peaks, as well as another in the third-place decider, that was enough for an EVP.

Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut

ZywOo makes it in after posting three maps above a 2.00 rating and ending the event with five POTM showings.

Two of those came against Lynn Vision, tempering how much credit he could receive, but it is hard to deny an EVP to a player who ends the event in the quarter-finals with a 1.34 rating.

It also helps that one of his peaks came in that quarter-final, a heroic 25 frags on Nuke against Spirit before the whole team collapsed on the deciding Mirage.

We may be wont to hold the Frenchman to higher standards than mere mortals and punish him for poor deciders against B8 and Spirit, but if you take the name plate off this ticks the boxes required for an EVP.

Nikita "tenzy" Kochenyuk

tenzy only made it to the round of sixteen but was simply brilliant for magic, with a whopping 1.31 kills per round win en route to the playoffs.

He started well against The MongolZ and 3DMAX, but exploded against 9z with 36 kills against the then world number seven on map one. He then followed it up with 124 ADR in the 9-3 first half on the Inferno decider.

In the playoffs, he dropped 24 frags against event finalist FUT on map one to give them a mighty scare, and while he cooled off, there was already enough credit in the bank for a career-first EVP.

The best players of Esports World Cup 2026, in order:

  • Danil "donk" Kryshkovets
  • Santino "try" Rigal
  • Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
  • Danil "molodoy" Golubenko
  • Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato
  • Dmytro "dem0n" Myroshnychenko
  • Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç
  • Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov
  • Bruno "latto" Rebelatto
  • Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut
  • Nikita "tenzy" Kochenyuk

Honorable mentions

Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira was as good as try in map wins but struggled from the quarter-finals onwards (0.87 rating). It's a similar story for fellow anchor Džiugas "dziugss" Steponavičius.

flameZ had a good event just behind ZywOo, but had lower peaks and slightly weaker output.

Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás and Dorian "xertioN" Berman came close, but needed more, considering that they didn't play a top ten team in their run to the quarters.

Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara shone despite an early exit, a 1.42 rating in Ninjas in Pyjamas's last-place crashout.

All-Star

Boris "magixx" Vorobiev and donk are the easy picks in the best five, but there were decisions to make in the three other roles.

try was preferred over m0NESY, molodoy, and sh1ro as our AWPer thanks to leading Legacy so deep despite tough opposition.

KSCERATO and dem0n were tough to split for closer, but the Brazilian got the nod for being better in map wins (1.33-1.18), against top ten teams (1.27-1.11), and for having an extra three standout maps.

Finally, n1ssim pips dziugss for anchor by virtue of having five standout maps compared to the Lithuanian's three.

Multi-award winners

dem0n joins the list of players with more than one EVP+ event.
