Jimpphat talks MOUZ departure and new beginning in Aurora
The Finn appeared on the 'natun ja Robun CS Podcast' to shed some light on his recent career moves.

Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo joined the natun ja Robun CS Podcast for a 50-minute episode following the announcement of the Finnish youngster joining Aurora.
The interview began with the 19-year-old rifler touching on his time in MOUZ and eventual benching, admitting he still hasn't fully grasped the decision.
"It was a really good time, so I have no bones to pick [with MOUZ]," he began. "But I still think it's a bit stupid of them to bench me in the middle of the season because we couldn't finish with the Major. I didn't really understand it myself, it's always something that annoys me a little, because I would have liked to play," he said.

Jimpphat then shared that news of his benching was revealed to him by Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen at IEM Rio. "I don't know if it was the team's decision or if it was sycrone's own decision, but he said that me and Brollan have been benched," he shared, before adding that he was never given an indication he would play the Major.
"sycrone had decided that Brollan would play the Major, because he thinks the roles would match better.
"But then I watched the Major, and Brollan played a lot of the same positions as I did, so it was a bit like, 'What the hell, didn't he say that he would be better suited in terms of roles?' But then you don't know how they decide or what they meant exactly, but it's a bit of a strange case."
The conversation then transitioned to the one-year extension Jimpphat signed with MOUZ at the start of 2025. "I didn't want a longer extension with MOUZ, because at that time I already wanted to join another team," he admitted.
"I appreciate that they were able to make a one-year contract. Many organizations could have said that we're not selling, so you keep the same deal or try to offer a 3-year extension, but MOUZ did really well and I appreciate it a lot."

The rumored move to Falcons didn't come to fruition due to MOUZ not being "ready to negotiate or willing to let go at the time, so there was nothing to it," and Jimpphat stayed on the roster.
Jimpphat was eventually benched in April of 2026, and has now landed on Aurora as part of their international transition, with the Finn saying he is happy and excited to get started. "I think it's a really, really good team, I think there are a lot of good names there.
"I can't say yet what to expect, considering that this is going to be my second tier-one team where I'm playing in a completely different environment with different players, in a different system with different coaches. I have to see how I adapt because I played for so long in MOUZ."
