K27 have announced that their head coach, Gregory "balblna" Oleinick, has decided to step down from the team.
The decision brings an end to the 30-year-old's 15-month-long tenure with the organization, during which he helped the team secure several smaller titles such as MPKBK CIS LAN seasons 3 and 8 and make their first tier-one appearances at PGL Astana and Esports World Cup.
"Thank you for everything, Griga! Thank you for believing in these young guys a year ago and taking the helm of the team," the organization's CEO, Ivan Kondratov, said in a statement.
"We started at the very bottom of the rankings, and in just one year, we've reached such great heights! I am confident that the success achieved with K27 will propel Grigory toward new milestones with a new team — one he will undoubtedly find in no time!"
The organization further announced that Dmitry "Twizell" Rygin, who has served as K27's analyst for the better part of two years, will take over as interim coach in their upcoming tournaments.
The team is currently fighting an uphill battle for a chance to qualify for PGL Singapore with WINLINE MPKBK CIS LAN Season 9 and the RLG Tesla Cup ahead of them before the early November invite deadline hits.
