fnatic complete mazay signing

The 17-year-old makes the jump to a higher-caliber team after impressing for Spirit Academy.

fnatic have announced that they have completed the signing of 17-year-old rifler Volodymyr "⁠mazay⁠" Iorhachov from Spirit Academy.

The Ukrainian will step into the shoes of Viktor "⁠Br4tkO⁠" Kondratets, who has been moved to the bench. Signed from Lazer Cats in March, Br4tkO averaged a 0.97 rating while playing for fnatic.

"First of all, I want to say big thanks to Spirit Academy for giving me so much knowledge about this game," mazay wrote on X. "I'm looking forward to using it in practice. It's a great opportunity for me, and I want to put 100% of myself to make this team succeed."

mazay joined Spirit Academy in the summer of 2025 as a replacement for Maksim "⁠kyousuke⁠" Lukin, only to leave the team shortly afterward as he could not practice as much as required because of his studies in Germany.

That did not stop Dmitry "⁠S0tF1k⁠" Forostyanko from praising mazay, stating that he was the future of Spirit Academy and would return "at the first opportunity." The Ukrainian re-joined the academy team in February 2026 following a roster overhaul.

mazay becomes the second player to join fnatic in the off-season, following the signing of Artem "⁠cairne⁠" Mushynskyi from Ninjas in Pyjamas at the start of the month.

The duo's arrival will provide a firepower injection to a squad that was ranked 50th in Europe by the invite cutoff for the Cologne Major, almost 300 Valve points away from the qualification zone.
