Valve has released the August update to the VRS, with a raft of tournaments set to use the update to dole out invites.
Of note is Vitality's drop to fifth in the Global VRS, marking the first time the team have been outside the top four in two years, since the August 2024 update. Despite their slide, Vitality are of course well within invite range for all significant events.
Several $1,000,000+ events are to deliver their VRS invites based on the August update, namely FISSURE Playground 3, ESL Pro League Season 24, Thunderpick World Championship and IEM Beijing. A number of notable tier-two events will also be sending their invites out based on this update, all of which could have implications for Major qualification.
