Update 13:26 : This article has been updated after Monte announced the rest of their lineup.
Monte have announced the arrival of Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev as the first part of a rebuild after the sale of their core to Luminosity.
sdy was previously a Monte player from January 2023 to February 2024, making it to the BLAST.tv Paris Major playoffs.
He was last in action for Passion UA on loan from ENCE, where he had been in-game leader before the organization returned to their Finnish roots.
sdy will be under the tutelage of Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen, with Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski on the AWP.
The three riflers will be Cai "CYPHER" Watson — another hero of the Paris Major —, Alexander "br0" Bro, and former top 50 prospect Vladyslav "St0m4k" Lykhoshva.
Monte's new lineup has already been spotted in the Stake Ranked open qualifier, where they were knocked out by Aurora Young Blud.
The Ukrainian organization are in need of a boost after engaging in a public relations battle following accusations of missed payments from Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras.
Bymas said payment issues were a "recurring issue" in his post, and that he was owed tens of thousands of dollars. Monte later denied that sum in a statement to HLTV.
