The second day of ESL Pro League Season 24's Swiss group stage has come to an end, setting up the first round of qualifying and elimination matches on day three.
A series of one-sided maps saw Vitality beat Natus Vincere for a spot in the 2-0 pool, with the teams trading wins on each other's map picks before a Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut 1v4 clutch helped Vitality take over on the Mirage decider to secure victory.
BETBOOM avoided an early trip to the elimination pool after a hard-fought two-map win over M80 on the B stream, leaving the North American side to fight for their tournament life against TYLOO on Monday.
G2, meanwhile, will look to get their EPL campaign back on track after a miserable start in the other elimination match against ShindeN.
Spirit have been indomitable in Swiss group stages, boasting a 32-0 record since their last loss to FURIA in their opener at the Perfect World Shanghai Major, and the Russian team will look to add another flawless run as they lock horns with MOUZ for a spot in the playoffs.
The other qualifying match will see Vitality and Falcons face off for the first time since the quarter-finals of the IEM Cologne Major, where Falcons had edged out victory after three 13-11 maps.
