The group stage of the Esports World Cup open qualifier has now concluded, with a total of 32 teams keeping their hopes of an EWC berth by making their way into the playoffs.
The final set of group decider matches saw some of the qualifiers bigger names progress, the likes Fluxo, SAW, 1win and Iberian Soul joining the raft of teams hoping to pick up one of the four Esports World Cup spots on offer.
Iberian Soul were the closest to being on the receiving end of an upset, as they found themselves down 0-1 in their series against 6666 after a loss on Ancient. The Spanish side came roaring back with convincing wins on Inferno and Mirage, however, to close out the series.
The rest of the decider matches were comfortable 2-0 affairs for the favorites, with ASTRAL and INFINITE receiving forfeit wins after no-shows by their opponents.
With the conclusion of these games the full list of playoff-bound teams is now known, with the following sides in contention for a spot at the main event:
