BIG get a lifeline, Alliance's Major odds crater and Liquid exit after day two of 1win Private Club S2

The second day of 1win Private Club Season 2 came to an end after PARIVISION outlasted fnatic in a marathon three-map series in the upper bracket, completing a reverse-sweep in overtime on Inferno (16-14) after the teams traded wins on Cache (10-13) and Ancient (13-10).

fnatic will lament letting a big chance to gain ground in the Major race slip as a win would have nearly doubled their odds of qualifying (48.3%) on HLTV's invite simulation. Instead, the Ukrainian team now sits at a 21.7% chance, but still has chances to claw back in the lower bracket in Belgrade and at Stake Ranked Episode 5.

The other three series all ended 2-0, with BIG emerging from the day as the biggest winner after an important win over The MongolZ. Benjamin "blameF" Bremer's troops had slid down the VRS after early exits at several LANs and sat firmly outside the invite bubble on our prediction page, but went from an 18% chance to qualify to 37% after the win and will have a chance to increase that further against PARIVISION on day three.

Alliance's Major dreams are all but over after the team bowed out of the event in last place following losses to The MongolZ and PRIVATE, dropping their already miserable odds from 10% to below 1% as they recorded their fourth series loss in a row. A trophy lift at RLG Tesla Cup is Alliance's only chance to salvage their hopes, but even that would leave them outside the invite bubble unless several other teams stumble.

Liquid are in no danger of losing their Major invite, but will have a lot to think about after a miserable outing in Belgrade that saw them fail to win a map against fnatic and magic, including letting a 10-3 lead slip on Dust2 in the latter series to be eliminated. Johnny "JT" Theodosiou's side have precious little time to fix their mistakes with an opening match against MOUZ at PGL Masters Bucharest looming on October 24.
