Legacy have secured the first grand final spot at FISSURE Playground 3 after a hard-fought victory over MIBR, which came down to a nail-biting overtime decider on Inferno.
They will play for the title on Sunday at 11:00 against the winner of BETBOOM vs. G2, for a chance to hoist another trophy on Chinese soil following their back-to-back CS Asia Championship victories.
MIBR came to rue several situations in which they were in multi-man advantages and couldn't come out on top, including a series-ending Legacy 2v5 starring Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira on the B bombsite:
Before that, Nuke was also in MIBR's grasp until Legacy won two more unlikely situations on the lower bombsite, a 2v5 at 7-9 and a Andrei "arT" Piovezan 1v2 clutch at 10-10, which swung the momentum.
Despite the frustrating end to Nuke and a disheartening start to Ancient, where Legacy were leading 9-4, MIBR fought back thanks to Lucas "nqz" Soares and Linus "LNZ" Holtäng's second-half impact.
Tomas "tomaszin" Corna then stepped up with his best map in the MIBR jersey yet on Inferno, but his heroics on the A bombsite were ultimately undone on the other site.
