FISSURE CEO Nikolay Vesnin has released an open letter detailing the reasons behind the tournament organizer's financial difficulties, the steps taken to repay outstanding debt, and FISSURE's plans for the future.
"We acknowledge the debt in full. Payments have been underway since the summer; around half of our CS2 debt has already been paid, and we are planning the next major phase of repayments for the first quarter of 2027," the statement begins.
"We are in contact with the clubs. We will agree a repayment schedule with each of them individually.
"In the first quarter of 2027, we will publicly report on the actual progress of payments and the results of our efforts to pay down what we owe," FISSURE's CEO promises.
The aforementioned financial difficulties forced FISSURE to cancel three of its events in 2026 and 2027, with the open letter also talking about a change in the tournament organizer's finance structure.

"In recent months, we have been working not only to find the funds to pay what we owe, but also to change the economics of our tournaments. Most importantly, the prize pools for new tournaments are now secured before the events begin and do not depend on the company's current finances," the open letter reads.
The statement then goes on to share more about FISSURE's future plans, saying that they will continue to run tournaments and aim to repay the outstanding debt.
"We are not going to throw away thirteen years of work because of the mistakes we have made. We are correcting them, learning the right lessons and moving forward.
"We still have big dreams and ambitions. We will continue creating tournaments that our team, players and viewers will be proud of."
