Legacy and BETBOOM won the group stage upper bracket finals, securing berths in the the FISSURE Playground 3 semi-finals.
Legacy did it in a derby against FURIA on Mirage and Ancient. Both of the maps started out with 6-6 halves, but the Andrei "arT" Piovezan-led squad was superior on the T side of FURIA's Mirage pick, as well as on the CT side of Ancient, not giving up double digits on either map.
Bruno "latto" Rebelatto and Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira both had 1.30+ ratings, but the team effort saw everyone well in the green, with Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer taking up the rear with a 1.10 in the series.
MIBR had the chance to secure two Brazilian-majority teams in the semi-finals, but BETBOOM spoiled that plan on Mirage and Anubis.
The Linus "LNZ" Holtäng-led squad took the lead on the attack on their Mirage pick, leading 7-5 at the half, but could not hold up to BETBOOM's attacks, winning just two of ten rounds after the switch, 13-9.
MIBR once again got ahead on the T side, this time on Anubis, going up 8-4 at the half, but it wasn't enough as BETBOOM clawed their way back to a stalemate after 24 rounds before taking it in overtime, 16-14.
The playoffs will remain stacked with Brazilian talent, as half of the teams in the top six will have Brazilian cores, with MIBR and FURIA on either side of the bracket in the quarter-finals and Legacy in one semi-final, while BETBOOM will be in the other semi-final. The final two teams from the group stage will be decided by the end of the matchday when the lower-bracket finals in both groups conclude.
