MOUZ became the second grand finalists of ESL Pro League Season 24 after defeating Spirit in a close-fought three-mapper (Dust2 13-7, Mirage 9-13, Nuke 13-11).
The result marks MOUZ's third grand final of the season, with Vitality standing between them and the trophy, while Spirit are set to meet Aurora in the third-place decider.
"This win will give us a lot of confidence," Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás said in a post-match interview. "We are a new team, so I don't think it's going to be the same [as in 2025] against Vitality."
The series began on Spirit's pick of Dust2, where the Russian squad was found asleep at the wheel in the opening rounds. While they won and converted the pistol, Spirit found themselves 2-8 down before finally clicking into gear and won five in a row.
MOUZ then won a crucial halfbuy after Danil "donk" Kryshkovets's overpeek into Lower and took that momentum all the way to the bank, with torzsi crowning a fantastic performance with a post-plant 3k.
Spirit showed a different face on Mirage, however, looking composed and, more importantly, buoyed by an online donk. The Russian phenom topped the board for his team with 19 kills on the map, while also putting the final nail in the MOUZ coffin with a 1vs2.
Spirit kept up their flawless record in pistol rounds at the start of Nuke, but couldn't convert their success into a big lead. MOUZ, led by Oldřich "PR" Nový, quickly seized the lead and edged out a 7-5 half thanks to 17 frags by the Czech rifler.
Spirit came back into the game after a pair of clutches by Andrey "tN1R" Tatarinovich and Myroslav "zont1x" Plakhotia, but PR's unrelenting fragging continued. The 19-year-old ended the map on 27 kills, with Lotan "Spinx" Giladi recovering from his fumbled 1vs1 with a crucial double late on, which helped MOUZ edge out a 13-11 victory.
