Spirit punched their ticket to the BLAST Open Porto grand final with a 2-0 victory over Falcons on Nuke (13-8) and Ancient (13-11), making it their third consecutive final since returning from the summer break.
The Russian squad's hot streak continues after a second-place finish at the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Finals in Malta, where they lost to MOUZ in the final, and a championship run at the Esports World Cup in Paris.
The semi-final series kicked off on Falcons' Nuke pick, but Spirit were the ones firmly in control on the CT side. After winning the pistols, Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov got a triple in the third round to keep them ahead, and they turned a 2v3 in the seventh round to remain flawless.
It wasn't until the last round of the half that Finn "karrigan" Andersen, with a 1v2 clutch, got rid of Falcons' goose egg on the scoreboard.
After the switch, Falcons made a serious comeback attempt, winning seven rounds in a row to cut the lead to 11-8, but in the end were too far behind as Spirit got back-to-back rounds to take the first map of the series.
Spirit's Ancient stronghold was up next, but Falcons put up a fight early to take the lead. Great utility use from sh1ro put Spirit on the board, with a double molly kill in Mid. A few rounds later, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov turned the tide of a 2v2 situation with a molly and an HE grenade to keep Falcons ahead 6-3.
Spirit won the last three rounds of the half, and a triple by Danil "donk" Kryshkovets with the USP in a B hold put his team ahead for the first time on the map. The Russian squad then kept their lead, but heroic rounds by Falcons, including a lowbuy hit on B, a quick MAC-10 double by karrigan to crack open a forcebuy round, and a 1v2 by René "TeSeS" Madsen got it all the way to the 24th round.
It all came down to m0NESY as a Falcons A pinch quickly disintegrated, and he was found hitting the site through CT in a 1v4. He killed one A defender with the AWP, another with the Desert Eagle, and, after planting, took out his AWP again to finish a defender rushing him from Donut, making it a 1v1.
Locked in, m0NESY peeked into Donut, located his final target, Boris "magixx" Vorobiev, and scoped the big green, but couldn't ring off the shot in time as Spirit's in-game leader gunned the AWPer down to tack on another win in their streak on Ancient — now up to 14 — and secure the series 2-0.
