Liquid have claimed the iBUYPOWER Masters FML 2026 title, capping a flawless run through the $30,000 LAN event with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Wildcard in the final.
The result marks Liquid's first offline win since 2022, when they claimed first place in the IEM Road to Rio qualifier on LAN, but their first trophy since 2019, when they went on a dominant run of five tier one LAN wins in a row.
Throughout their campaign Liquid were only once in serious danger of losing a map, cruising past Chicken Coop and NRG in the group stage before M80 gave them their closest run of the tournament in the first map of the semi-finals.
The grand final was similarly straightforward for Liquid, a powerful CT-side on Inferno granting them an easy 1-0 lead in the series before they finished the job on Anubis.
Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa was the team's standout player throughout their run, posting an event-leading 1.44 rating over eight maps, but Georgi "Jorko" Mitev, Keith "NAF" Markovic and Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski also appeared amongst the event's top-five rated players, emphasising the squad's dominance.
With their victory Liquid continue on the track to qualification for PGL Singapore Major, and whilst Wildcard's chances are slimmer, they also took strides towards earning a spot.
