PARIVISION kicked off life in their new lineup with Abay "HObbit" Khassenov back in the roster with a crucial 2-1 victory over Legacy in the opening round of ESL Pro League Season 24's group stage.
Dzhami "Jame" Ali and company took advantage of a weakened Legacy, who are playing at the event without Andrei "arT" Piovezan after the in-game leader was sidelined by meningitis.
The IGL's replacement, former MIBR Academy player Pedro "bobz" Rocha, struggled in his first official in HLTV's records in over two years, recording a 0.61 rating in the series.
PARIVISION came back from a tough opening loss on Dust2 with force on Inferno, before locking down the series in a closely-fought Ancient, clinching it in overtime after recovering a 10-12 deficit.
Thanks to the win, they earned a 94-point payout on the Valve Regional Standings, which comes as a significant boon to the team in the lead-up to the PGL Major Singapore invite deadline.
Off the back of the victory over Legacy as the No. 2 side in the ranking, PARIVISION are now projected to have a 93% chance to qualify for the season-ending spectacle.
