FaZe breeze past BetBoom to reach XSE Pro League semi-finals

FaZe will go up against PARIVISION in the next round of the playoffs.

FaZe are through to the XSE Pro League semi-finals after a quick 2-0 victory over BetBoom, and will face PARIVISION next for a shot at reaching the grand final in Guangzhou.

BetBoom played their first Cache after FaZe picked it in the veto, and it did not go well. Ryan "⁠Neityu⁠" Aubry had a big 1v3 clutch in the third round after FaZe won the CT pistol and anti-eco, and from there on out it was a dominating 10-2 half that turned into a 13-2 victory after the switch.

That same scoreline played out in the first half of Ancient, where FaZe once again started on the CT side with David "⁠frozen⁠" Čerňanský showing his best on the road to 10-2. This time, however, BetBoom won the second pistol round to avoid another outright loss.

Kirill "⁠Magnojez⁠" Rodnov, who went into the series with a tournament-leading 1.44 rating from BetBoom's 3-0 group stage and had gone missing with the rest of his team on Cache, did his best on Ancient with 112.2 ADR and 12 kills in the first half despite losing ten rounds, but could not do enough to turn the tides on his own.

Four rounds were all BetBoom could muster in the second-half comeback attempt before FaZe shut them down, with frozen's 2.25 rating on Ancient rocketing him to the top of the scoreboard.
