For the most part, the rest of the games went as planned for the favorites with 9z, Legacy, FURIA, BETBOOM, and PARIVISION all picking up wins.
The final game of the day, one that would not end until nearly 01:45 local time, was a rematch of the Esports World Cup round of 16 when G2 beat Astralis.
But it was the majority-Danish side who left with the spoils this time, despite dropping map two in overtime, after having the energy to storm to a 13-5 victory on the decider.
After eight wins in a row for the team on G2's home map of Inferno, that's now two losses in a row. Now, a lower bracket match against BIG coming at G2 thick and fast with their tournament lives on the line.
