MOUZ have secured third place at PGL Masters Bucharest following a 2-0 victory over Vitality in which they were in full control from beginning to end.
Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen opted to take advantage of Vitality's lack of play on Nuke with Justinas "jL" Lekavicius, and saw the decision bear fruit as the Lithuanian struggled on the map, ending it on a 3-15 K-D with no one but William "mezii" Merriman to pick up the slack.
Inferno followed and MOUZ got off to a flying start on the CT side, with Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás coming alive after an uninspired Nuke performance.
After sides switched, MOUZ targeted jL and Shahar "flameZ" Shushan on B, and the duo found success in the pistol, but once guns came out MOUZ's trading and see-sawing between the two sides of the map saw them rally to a quick win.
The victory sees MOUZ establish themselves firmly at the top of the Valve Regional Standings with a 40-point lead over Vitality themselves, where they should remain regardless of the grand final result between FURIA and Nemiga.
And they will have a further opportunity to extend that gap next week at IEM Beijing, which Vitality opted not to attend with Dan "apEX" Madesclaire on a brief sabbatical around the birth of his first child.
The captain will return for BLAST Rivals in Hong Kong in mid-November.
